Why I'm dropping my prices (permanently)

It's August, I'm enjoying a month off and having some down time and creating some headspace.

September always feels like the start of a year for me.

It's that back to school feeling.

My birthday.

And with the last three months of this year including the official launch of the Burnout Club, the rebrand of the Burnout Club, the launch of F*ck Burnout, a couple of trips and some big speaking gigs, some new qualifications and training and a new policy liaison group role, it's going to be a busy end to the year.

So why is now the time to reduce my prices?

January marks my 11th anniversary of being self-employed and so much has changed during that time, but perhaps the biggest, is that I no longer want to create an empire, and I'm slowing down a lot of my corporate work to focus more on coaching and the growth of the Burnout Academy and Burnout Club.

The Burnout Academy training and accreditation is creating waves rather than ripples of change, and I'm seeing this and the impact of the academy from the accreditation details that are being submitted and the regular messages I'm receiving from attendees.

The Burnout Club has moved to a new home, and the ease for members has surpassed what I wanted, so now the focus is on growth.

And with so many speaking opportunities I'm being able to share more of my story and experiences that is helping other people to stop Burnout in its tracks and aid recovery.

And all of this has really shown me that impact and helping others is what is most important to me.

For years, as I've become more full with bookings, I've increased my prices.  As my qualifications and experience have grown I've increased my prices.  As I've worked with larger brands and appeared in more press, I've increased my prices, and as a result, I've priced myself to the point that only companies and high-earners have been able to afford me.

And that's the goal right? High income as a business owner?

Except it's not feeling right for me, not anymore.

When I worked in corporate I climbed the ladder quickly. I'd always progressed quickly. And there was an 8 year period where I had 7 promotions and added more than £100,000 to my annual salary, then there were bonuses and training and coaching on top.

The higher I climbed the ladder, the more I thought I'd be able to make a difference, and in a different organisation I would have been able to.  But in the toxic environment where I reached Burnout, even with my seat at the table, I wasn't doing work that was making an impact or was aligned to my values. I was making redundancies, redesigning structures and saving money week in and week out.

I started my career in HR to change the world of work and to stop the Monday to Friday dying syndrome to really make a difference, and the higher I climbed, the more it became about money.

11 years into my business, and I want to make an even bigger impact, and to help even more people to overcome and recover from Burnout, so it's time for a change.

A change that feels right, a change that feels aligned, a change that feels energising and one I'm excited to share.

So from today, your investment to banish Burnout looks like this:

  • Mind the Gap and F*ck Burnout will stay at £15
  • The Burnout Club will stay at £25 a month or £250 for the year
  • The Burnout Academy will stay at £500 for the two day training and £750 for the two day training and the accreditation - this was due to increase in January, but the more people I can train the bigger the impact
  • The Burnout Recovery Method has reduced from £500 a session to £250 a session - with no increase in January as originally planned
  • Executive Coaching has reduced from £650 a session to £250 a session - with no increase in January
  • Keynote speaking will remain at fees from £2500 for virtual sessions and from £5000 for in-person - with no increase in January

All of this will go completely against the advice that any business coach will provide and certainly goes against the glitz and success that many share in £10k months and six-figures, and if that aligns with you, then I'm really pleased for you and wish you all the best with your growth.

For me, I want something different and I'm creating something that's more aligned.  I want something that feels much less corporate, and much more me, and this is it!

So if you've been wanting to work with me to banish Burnout and to help you recover and thrive, now could be your chance (before I'm fully booked)!
